Ingleton’s Overground Underground festival was established in 2011 by a small group of volunteers passionate about the local landscape around Ingleborough. The festival has grown organically with local communities and individuals working together to put on a diverse range of events.
The steering group is voluntary. We oversee the fundraising and marketing, and pull the programme together from ideas generated by the local community. We are always keen to hear from people that would like to contribute to the festival in any way. You might have a skill you want to share, your business may wish to get involved or you may like to volunteer to help over the festival period. Please contact us via email with your ideas.
The Festival is being part-funded through Stories in Stone, an ambitious scheme of conservation and community projects concentrated on the Ingleborough area. The scheme has been developed by the Ingleborough Dales Landscape Partnership, led by Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust, and is mainly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
