Come and learn about the conservation grazing herd on Ingleborough National Nature Reserve in the company of reserve staff and cattle grazier.  After an indoor introduction at Colt Park Barn, where tea and coffee will be available, we will go to look at the cattle at high Brae, near Horton in Ribblesdale.  find out about the special wildlife of the NNR and the important role the cattle play in maintaining and enhancing these wonderful limestone grassland.  After the visit we will return to Cold Park barn for refreshments to round off the event.

Suitable for: the event is aimed at adults with an interest in nature conservation and practical management.  It will not be a technical event or a training course, but rather an informal opportunity to explain how cattle are used to benefit the special wildlife of the reserve.  Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an a parent or guardian.

Special Instructions: Booking is essential.  The length of the walk will depend on wherre the cattle are onsite, but should only be 1-2 miles at most.  Participants will need to bring outdoor clothing and walking boots/wellies/stout shoes.
