Zoe Challange with Tom Lister & Hope for Justice
Whilst you are all having fun at Overground Underground, our Emmerdale star Tom Lister will be pushing his body to the limit as he takes part in the Zoe Challenge. On 13th May Tom set off with a team of cyclists from Riga in Latvia. In just 20 days he is covering over 2,700km as he cycles across Europe to Southampton here in the UK. On 29th May he will be arriving into Hull, where he will begin his final 4-day journey down to Southampton.
Tom is cycling for anti-human trafficking charity Hope for Justice, for whom he is a passionate supporter. Hope for Justice rescues victims of human trafficking here in the UK and all money raised through the Zoe Challenge will be used to fund Hope for Justice’s incredible work. One of the victims Hope for Justice rescued was Zoe, after who the Challenge has been named. Zoe was trafficking into the UK where she was repeatedly raped for profit. After months of investigation, Hope for Justice rescued Zoe and directed her into suitable aftercare for rehabilitation. Zoe is now free and can begin to rebuild her life.
More information about the Zoe Challenge can be found at: www.zoechallenge.com
