The limestone that runs throughout the Yorkshire Dales, makes this part of the country unique. It givesus extensive cave systems and rock formations across the area, making it one of the major areas for caving in the UK. However if you fancy staying above ground then one of our guided walks and talks is for you.

Whether it be seeing close up the excellent examples of the surface limestone pavement with its “clints” (the limestone blocks) and “grikes” (the fissures between), the views from Ingleborough stretching as far as the west coast and the Lake District, and a fine view of the famous Ribblehead Viaduct on the Settle Carlisle railway line.
